The Classroom Partnership (the trading vehicle of Connex Education) has commenced the New Year with its latest acquisition. It has acquired the trading business of Concord Education as part of its continued agglomeration exercise.

Concord Education operated as a dedicated permanent and long-term recruitment provider to UK schools and academies. As a result of the acquisition, it will join The Classroom Partnership’s portfolio and will be absorbed into the well-established recruitment provider, Connex Education Partnership.

Speaking of the acquisition, The Classroom Partnership’s CEO Paul Broderick said:

“Since 2010 Concord Education has built an enviable reputation providing permanent staffing solutions to schools and academies throughout the UK. This acquisition is a major step forward for The Classroom Partnership group in continuing to adapt to the ever-changing face of school recruitment. Incorporating a leading permanent education staffing brand into one of the UK’s largest supply staffing brands seemed an obvious move for us and brings together the best in day-to-day and long-term supply and expert permanent solutions.”

The Classroom Partnership is backed by Chester based Bluestones Investment Group, which has provided acquisition funding for other notable education brands, Gemstone Recruitment and Connex Education as well as organic company start up. Bluestones Investment Group CEO, Steve Pendergast commented:

“Education is a core investment market focus for Bluestones Investment Group. The Classroom Partnership was set up in 2016 as a vehicle to build an international infrastructure of market leading niche brands, delivering best in class whole school recruitment and training solutions. We now have a collective education offering under The Classroom Partnership banner across 5 specialist brands and 17 offices in UK and internationally.

Concord Education’s director Nick Barton will now oversee Connex Education’s national permanent recruitment solutions:

“Demand from Concord Education’s clients to deliver blended permanent recruitment solutions nationally has been increasing significantly in recent years.  Pressure to find quality candidates against a backdrop of falling ITE numbers, increasing teacher attrition, ageing teaching population and growing pupil numbers meant we need to evolve our solution to continue to deliver the service that our schools expect.  The investment and support of The Classroom Partnership will enable us to quickly scale up without compromising on quality and our shared vision of the future of education recruitment.”
